WHAT I MAKE
THE PIPES
Dragons
From tip to tail, Dragons’ aggressive ridges and sharp angles somehow harmonize beautifully with their soft flowing lines. Could this style really be named anything else? They are excellent smokers and their striking appearance turns the heads of collectors and enthusiasts whenever you light one up.
Elephant’s Shields
When I first sat down to design this shape, I wanted every line on the pipe to flow smoothly into the next. The result is a pipe that is very pleasing to the eye. Long or short, they smoke beautifully and sit comfortably in the hand. Their fantastical appearance appeals to pipers and artists alike.
Churchwardens
Legendary smokers, these long-stemmed pipes can be more difficult to create. Maybe that’s what I find so enticing about making them. Or maybe I just think they look amazing. In the typical Edwin style, I strive to give my wardens a distinctive flair; something that will make it recognizable as an Edwin upon first glance. An Edwin churchwarden carries an air of sophisticated elegance while simultaneously displaying a rustic charm.
LoTR Inspired
Once in a while a more whimsical idea pops into my head and as an artist I have to dive in. It’s no secret; I’m a Rings nerd and sometimes I let this passion spill over into my pipes. From Elves, to Hobbits, to Orcs, to Dwarves, to Trolls, to Men, to Sauron himself, I’ve created a pipes that represents most races of Middle Earth. These pipes are not toys. They are perfectly functioning smoking pipes that have been given the utmost care and attention during their creation. The drilling, sizing, and mechanics of the pipes are made with the same care as every Edwin Pipe.
Others
Through the years I have experimented with many pipe shapes. While I understand the allure and beauty of traditional models, it’s really more my style to add a twist or some kind of flair to these shapes.
Display Stands
Edwin Pipes are stunning pieces appreciated for their distinctive beauty. An Edwin display stand shows your pipe with all the striking charisma it deserves. The stand’s artistic appeal rivals the pipe itself. Whenever I make a display stand for a pipe I strive to match the color, lines, and character of the piece so that the two fit together harmoniously.
