If you’ve ever made a pipe you know what the 90/10 rule is. Basically it states that you spend 90% of your time on the last 10% of a project. The most time consuming part of the stems (at least for me) is using smaller and smaller grit sand paper to achieve that smooth, glass-like surface that buffs out to a high gloss. Time to rest my fingers and sip a Scotch. Tomorrow they’ll get the final sanding and then on to the bowls!
